They do not pay fares at all in real life

In Daily El-Masry El-Youm ,there was an article about an incident the Police force is in party in it as usual , microbus used by a Police force in "Mataria" which is populated area in Cairo hit a girl killing her . It was a famous incident that was related to the infamous "Fatwa" which says :

If a person stands deliberately in front of car ,there will be no sin or guilt in hitting the man with your car !!!

Well currently the General attorney is investigating the incident and as usual there is a huge contradictions between the Police statements and the people statements , and here I mean the citizens who witnessed the incident , the police officer said that he did not  know there was a girl they are moving on her body by the Microbus , where as the people said that no they knew very well there were moving on a the girl . Already the investigation was re-opened after the a primary prosecutor had declared the innocence of the police force

Anyhow despite how terrible the incident is ,one particular detail has stopped me which is that when the Officer whose rank is major paid for the microbus "50 E.P" to drive him to the home of the lady he arrested who is related to the victim. He paid to the Microbus , so he rented it !!

Does not the interior ministry and Police force have enough cars to be used ???

This is one

Number two

Since when they pay for the ride ?? It is well known in Egypt for  that the Police officers do not pay the fares of the taxis and buses , and in the buses that follow the ministry of transportation they love to show off their police id cards and badges !!

I mean this is the rule for them from the smallest rank to the biggest rank

Here is a personal experience

In my senior year in the University ,I took a taxi to the Cairo university , I think it was during the time of my mid term, and in the middle of the way , the traffic colour was red and we had to stop ,I was setting at the back as usual alone with no other passengers , and suddenly the front seat door was opened and I found a corporal taking the front seat ordering the taxi driver to go to street X , luckily Street X was in our way , I was astonished and I could not say anything and I just kept watching the new scene in front of me , we arrived to Street x and the Corporal left the taxi without paying any money at all. The taxi driver then took off to complete our way to the university , he apologized to me complaining from the police forces and how they can take the taxi  for example from Giza to Misr El-Gadida without paying any fares at all , if he opened his mouth ,the least thing he will get dozen traffic fines ,whether he is dealing with corporal or Sergeant !!!

These are the corporals or the Sergeants what about the higher ranks like the Major ?? these do not pay because they use the fear of the lower working class from them in order to take from them what they want for free. I do not believe at all that the major gave a whole 50 E.P to the driver , it is big sum for them to give !!

  1. We got stopped bringing back my late father's personal things from his apartment in Alexandria. The undercover cop stopped the van we were in and took the driver's id and licence. The driver went to beg and plead "Ya Basha Ya Basha" and then handed over 200 Egyptian pounds. The cop went over to my brother and asked where we were going. He said Nasr City...not medinat nasr..his arabic is weak and he was stressed that day...out came another 175 pounds..no joke. My brother hasn't forgotten that til this day. The cop was not going to let us move from the middle of that street until he got paid.

This was added of course to our original price of what we agreed to pay to transport ourselves and my dad's personal belongings.

Your police run your country and are a law unto their own unfortunately. But slowly, with the internet and bloggers who expose their corruption, they will have to clean up their act. Not all are bad of course but watching those videos on youtube even the training ones in not good. I was happy when my cousin's son didn't get good grades at the end of high school. She wanted him to go to the police academy. He didn't make it. Law school instead like all the rest. Alhamdulillah cuz this kid is sweet and I couldn't imagine him having to beat up or slap people on the neck like some do.

I read about police in Alex who made a man parade in his underwear in the street and confess to a crime he didn't commit. Not sure if this story is true, but if so, that's just nuts.

Off topic, how old is the singer Sabah. She's on tv right now and this woman looks younger than I do? But paler and whiter than a corpse.
